Pericles Lewis, Yale University’s vice president for global strategy and deputy provost for international affairs, is pictured above with participants of the Leadership Forum for Strategic Impact. The forum — supported by La Fundación Mujeres por África (the Women for Africa Foundation) and Banco Santander — aims to amplify the effectiveness and influence of women in African governments. It is a keystone of the Yale Africa Initiative (YAI), an ongoing effort by Yale to prioritize and expand upon its collaboration on the continent.

Through YAI, Yale continues to leverage the power of partnerships and global networks across the continent to produce remarkable outcomes in science, public health, business, and numerous other disciplines and industry sectors. This event is just one of many that Lewis will participate in as he travels to Ethiopia, Uganda, and South Africa this month.
