Kasturi has a joint appointment with the Office of International Affairs and the Yale MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies. For OIA, she is responsible for initiatives and partnerships related to the growth of Yale University’s presence on the Indian subcontinent. In her concurrent role as Program Director for the South Asian Studies Council, her work strengthens Yale’s long-term scholarly and programmatic undertakings including the development of close ties with regional universities. Kasturi has executed initiatives in India as well as Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. She has over a decade of experience in university administration and holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Syracuse University and an MA from Pune University.
