Yale Institute for Global Health marks next chapter with campus open house

YIGH marked a new chapter with a campus open house. Dr. Ingrid Katz, the newly appointed Director, outlined priorities for advancing interdisciplinary collaboration, supporting students, and strengthening partnerships across Yale and around the world, as YIGH seeks to address increasingly complex health challenges.

Telescope under construction in Chile may help astronomers observe the ‘cosmic web’

Yale astronomer Pieter van Dokkum, together with University of Toronto astronomer Roberto Abraham, is co-creating MOTHRA, the world’s largest all-lens telescope. Now under construction in Chile, the telescope will use 1,140 telephoto lenses to detect faint gas between galaxies, aiming to capture the first images of the cosmic web believed to connect galaxies across the universe.

Yale scholars honored for ‘full-scale history’ of Haitian literature

Yale scholars Marlene Daut and Kaiama Glover have been awarded the 2026 René Wellek Prize for their landmark volume recognized as the first comprehensive English-language history of Haiti’s literary tradition. Their work advances global understanding of storytelling, sovereignty, and cultural identity.

‘The power of community’: rising climate leaders reflect on week at Yale

Participants in the Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship, a program at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, recently gathered on campus for a week of dialogue and professional development.
