Fulbright Programs Connected to Yale
Fulbright Program Overview
The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational exchange program. For two decades, Yale has ranked among the top institutions in producing Fulbright U.S. Student award recipients and over the past five years, nearly 160 Yale students and alumni have received funding for their scholarly pursuits. In addition, Yale has also welcomed scores of visiting Fulbright students and scholars from across the globe. Learn more at the Yale News website.
The following material outlines Fulbright pathways connected to Yale and directs people interested in pursuing Fulbright opportunities to appropriate application and support resources.
OIA’s Role
Yale’s Office of International Affairs (OIA) does not administer student Fulbright applications. Yale students and recent graduates are supported by the Yale Student Fellowships and Funding office.
OIA serves as Yale’s Fulbright Scholar Liaison and can help potential Fulbright U.S. Scholar applicants navigate the application process. Contact us for advice on applications, introductions to previous Yale Fulbright scholars, and review of application materials. Yale departments expecting to host a Fulbright Visiting Scholar may also contact us with administrative questions.
