Yale School of the Environment students attend COP27

11/07/22

Five students from the Yale School of the Environment (YSE) are participating in the global climate change summit COP27 in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. In a recent profile article they shared their plans and what they hope to take away from the experience.

Along with tens of thousands of global activists, diplomats, and heads of state, the YSE students will be joined at the conference by dozens of students, faculty, and staff from Yale University who will participate in key decision-making and negotiations centered on global climate action. This year’s conference takes place against the backdrop of a growing energy crisis, rising inflation, and an ongoing conflict in Ukraine — all of which impact critical environmental issues.
