Susan Rose-Ackerman, Professor of Law and Political Science

Susan Rose-Ackerman is the Henry R. Luce Professor Emeritus of Law and Political Science and Professorial Lecturer in Law at Yale University. Within her work in law, economics, and public policy, she has extensively researched the political economy of corruption worldwide and has, more recently, been interested in the specific case of Brazil. Her work looks at corruption scandals in Brazil such as Odebrecht’s and their connection to the American and the Swiss departments of justice. Additionally, she searches for structural reasons in the political organization of Brazil that might have facilitated corruption. Professor Rose-Ackerman has presented at various conferences and talks in Brazil and maintains a close relationship with the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).
