Affiliates
Affiliates, those who have been visiting scholars or fellows on campus, are also part of the Yale family. They may have been visitors to one of the schools such as the School of Medicine for only one month or may have been postdoctoral fellows for a number of years. The University is interested in hearing from those who were affiliates in prior years in order to offer extended affiliate services.
Yale Clubs
Yale Clubs and Associations bring together alumni residing in the same region to stimulate interest in University concerns. They host various activities and allow members to serve Yale in numerous ways. Currently, there are 40 Yale Clubs outside of the United States.
Yale Day of Service
The first global Yale Day of Service (May 2009) was an overwhelming success with over 3,500 members of the Yale community volunteering in nearly 170 sites including those in twelve countries. Yale alumni, family and friends gave their time and skills to local communities as they carried on Yale’s great tradition of service. The next global Yale Day of Service will be on May 15, 2010.
Yale Global Alumni Leadership Exchange
The Yale Global Alumni Leadership Exchange focuses on sharing best practices in alumni relations and providing reciprocal educational opportunities among universities through alumni engagement and leadership.
The program was pioneered in 2008 by Yale and the Australian National University (ANU) both members of the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU) with a delegation of Yale alumni visiting ANU. The program expanded to Japan in 2009 working with the University of Tokyo and the University Management Initiatives Consortium in Japan. The next program will take place in Turkey in July 2010.
