Friends & Feijoada: Brazil Reception (Sept 2014)

  • The Office of International Affairs hosted a lunch reception—complete with feijoada and guaraná—for Brazilian students, scholars and faculty at Yale.

  • Feijoada, the national dish of Brazil, and accompanying sides of rice, plantains, greens and oranges.

  • Shana Schneider, Director of Communications at the Yale Office of International Affairs, gave an overview of Brazil-Yale activities, which included a recap of President Peter Salvoey's trip to Brazil in July.
  • Yale World Fellow Vivianne Naigeborin introduced her work in the field of social impact investing.
  • Presidents of the Brazil Club at Yale, João Pedro Drechsler (YC'16) and Bárbara Santiago (YC'17), spoke about upcoming campus events.
