  • Biography of Poet James Merrill
    Greece (2008-Present)
Professor Hammer is working on a biography of the American poet James Merrill. The project has taken him repeatedly to Greece where Merrill visited regularly and lived from roughly 1960 to 1980. His research in Athens has led to an invitation to lecture at the American College of Greece, newspaper interviews including the Athens News, and other contacts.
